Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Sausage I use hot; it brings out the flavor.
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 1 jar sugar free marinara sauce
  • 1 large container of ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 package of egg wraps 2 packs for thicker casseroles
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat.
  • Add sausage and onion, and cook until browned. Drain
  • Stir in marinara sauce, dried oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes
  • In a separate bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese.
  • Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer the egg wraps on top of the sauce, then spread a layer of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on the top.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 40 mins at 375 degrees.
  • Allow lasagna to cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help the layers and make it easier to cut into portions.
